Natural lighting, also known as daylighting, is a technique that efficiently brings natural light into your space using exterior glazing (windows, skylights, etc.), thereby reducing artificial lighting requirements and saving energy.

Exposure to natural light helps our bodies produce Vitamin D, improves our circadian rhythms and sleep patterns, helps us to focus, enables us to get more done, and even makes us happier. Ensuring we get enough of this vital resource is key to our physical and psychological wellbeing.

Natural Light is so much more than just a source of illumination; it is a design element that shifts in intensity and colour throughout the day. This ever-changing aspect provides a sense of rhythm, vitality, and connectivity to the outside world while also altering the mood and feeling of a space as the day progresses.

Maximizing The Openings

The importance of natural light and circulation revolves around the correct opening. It might sound too general but it defines the entire user experience and ambiance. Avoiding or minimizing any openings based on the sun rotation, west as it radiates unnecessary heat exposure to the space during the day while the openings are oriented towards east for soft sunrise radiance. Seeing the wind flows, promoting them to flow from west and southeast

Sky Light

Skylights can significantly increase the amount of natural light in a space, reducing the need for artificial lighting and lowering energy costs. They also provide a more pleasant, natural ambiance, which can boost mood and productivity. Maximising space and making the space feel larger than it is can be achieved by adding a skylight.  The soft, natural light can help make the space appear bigger and give the room a whole new life. Obviously, bringing the outside in and by having a beautiful view of the sky, trees and stars would be a plus to space.

Partition
Partition of the space also matters, whether it is translucent or see-through, how we effectively divide space and has that bonus of creating a subtle wow effect. While also the color and materials have the ability of reflecting and distributing the lights evenly through the space.

Reflective Materials
Reflective Materials such as mirrors or shiny metal can make a space look bigger and brighter. The reflection of light from this material helps create the illusion of a larger space and increases natural lighting. Reflective material produces a dynamic and luxurious impression. They add dimension and depth to interior design, resulting in a look that continually changes with changing light and viewing angles, reflecting the constant changes and advancements in the world of technology.
