This friendly, open-space restaurant was first located on the main road of Gili Trawangan, close to the bustle of the center of the island, with a beautiful view of Gili Trawangan beach. The dominant color scheme was light-colored wood to harmonize with the beach where it stood. Then, because of a new government regulation prohibiting the construction of restaurants along the beach, Naty’s moved to the rooftop of Natya Hotel Gili Trawangan. The rooftop restaurant is still open-air with fine beach views. The darker scheme adds elegance to the dining experience. Light fixtures of woven rattan accentuate the tropical seaside surroundings, while the lighting over the central bar is recycled glass bottles. The big blue and orange wooden dining cages have sofas and are inspired by bird cages.
